This is neither strange nor surprising to me or to anyone that the election agenda (I mean promises that will be not fulfilled) from all political parties have full of headline making items in it. These items are mostly rice at Rs. 3 per kg or building the temple of any Hindu god or goddess at the disputed place or adding more to reservation of dalits. Poverty, Religious divide and cast always shadowed the election agenda by Indian political parties, but should that be the case after 60 years of independence?

We copy United States in lots of aspect - western culture, economical policy, food (Burgers and Pizza, will be soon more) but this one important that it came up from Lal Krishana Advani, his direct challenge to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for having a debate on TV like United States Presidential Election debate.

India is celebrating her 61st Independence day. On this occasion I still remember those school days , when we use to woke up early in the morning and get ready as fast as we can and go to school for the flag hoisting . In school everybody is so well dressed and uniformed which looks very good . After the flag hoisting and Vande matram and singing the national anthem , we have small speeches(which use to get bored at that time) and award ceremony for some creations and happenings. This is followed by a parade. Miss those lovely days!

Yes, remember that clip that DD used to run to show integrity in diversity. I am sure lot of it does the same now a days, but those memories are just unforgettable. India, a country on the face of earth with such great diversity celebrating its independence day is definitely a proud thing for all Indian. And if someone ask me why should be we proud about it? My answer is simple, why not?
