Agenda Of Political Parties Print E-mail

This is neither strange nor surprising to me or to anyone that the election agenda (I mean promises that will be not fulfilled) from all political parties have full of headline making items in it. These items are mostly rice at Rs. 3 per kg or building the temple of any Hindu god or goddess at the disputed place or adding more to reservation of dalits. Poverty, Religious divide and cast always shadowed the election agenda by Indian political parties, but should that be the case after 60 years of independence?

Yes, the elections are on the way in the largest democracy of the world and we should be proud of it. I hear lots of complaint about it from various groups about no change in politics. Some say since there will be no change so why pay attention. Some say any political party wins it will always be same. Some go to extends in the criticism of corrupt politicians and get hopeless about change. I can understand the frustration but I am not agreeing to the thought of non-involvement either by not paying attention or by not-voting. In both case, democracy loose and loose in a big way. Hence my urge to anyone is get involved and pay attention. We together can make a mark and make better India and cure the cancer (If Any) to Indian politics.

So, almost all the political party came with agenda. Congress came up with Rs. 3 per Kg rice program and Mayawati and Third front with communist thought came with Dalit movement and more labor regulation and anti-business item. BJP and alliance are proving the item list with religious divide by building temple and other Sangh related issues. But can our dear politician talk about any development related agenda like how will they solve the issues of basic necessities like pure water, more food production, good food storage and overhauling it for better marketplace, energy related sources and greater progress in self sufficiency of it f, weather pattern recognition and better weather predications, space exploration and technological business entrepreneurship, so on and so forth. At least have an agenda describing these things for the audience that is interested in knowing it.

I can understand the reservation for not talking about it. Last time, BJP came up with feel good factor agenda. Kind of agenda that make you feel proud about your own country from the advances that our coutry made(Or business opened-up new channels of advances, of course government supported it). Public did not accept it and threw BJP out of power. BJP learned the lesson hard way that you can sell that agenda in the Indian election when someone is talking about cheap food and government subsidies. Hence BJP change the course in this election. It can be totally understandable by anyone who is fighting the election, but there are voter who want to see something different too. We are tired having these stupid agendas from these parties. I urge to these political party to show us something that will talk about progressive agenda and not the subsidies agenda. I ask them to show some credibility towards responsible future that will make the mark in history and not keep our beloved nation in dark, under poverty and less self sufficient in resources.
