ImageOn the first day of taking the order for Nano, Tata said it received 51000 applications to buy it.  It is most surprising thing on the earth that when American car companies like GM, Chrysler are working on their survival, Tata is getting an order and asking people to come in line for its Nano.

Unveiling of Nano, the world's least expensive car, made a big impact on global car industry. Henry Ford dreamed of having a car in every garage of American home and Tata is doing the same by brings the affordable model to Indians. A middle class family who kept two vehicles to go to restaurant, movie, birthday party or marriage party in polluted street of India has a good fate of rolling-up their window of Nano and sits inside while listening the bollywood songs on their car stereo.

But Nano will not be available to everyone as of now. It is not like America where dealers parking lot are full with Nano. Tata is taking orders for it and there will be lottery to select 100000 Nano lovers. Initially, the timeline to launch the car was October 2009 which is delayed because of issue on production plant and Tata had to relocate its plant in Gujarat.

As demands picks-up, Tata needs increase its production capacity based on the market. It is important for Tata to capture that market as early as it can so that it can stay competitive and launch the different models based on the affoforabilty of Indian consumers.

Are Indian Political Parties Preparing For Election?
ImageWell, it’s a million dollar question. But answer to this million dollar question is very straight forward. The oil embargo in recent month cornered the ruling Congress party. An economist cum Priminister Manmohan Singh thought and thought well. Of course, he was in great dilemma - to hike the price of petroleum products or to leave as it is and keep pumping the tax money into subsidy and bear the loss in government controlled oil giants. And he did what he thought is balancing act.
