Though this book was published in 2003, I think it makes sense to review about this book still today. For most, it makes more sense to read this book at this time when whole world is in crises. This book also walks you through various scenario of globalization, what to expect from it and most importantly what changes that will bring to the life of people, not only in America but also over the globe.
No doubt that Thomas Friedman is great writer, but he showed the capacity to have vision to see through gloablization and upcoming changes and challenges of this century. He has vision with amazing talent to see through coming century. It’s great to read this book. |

This is one of that book which change your paradigm of thinking. Well-known New York Times columnist, Thomas Friedman, was meeting Infosys Co-founder, Nadnan Nilekeni, in Bangalore on his way to tour around the globe while writing this book. Nilekeni told him that with globalization everything just became so interconnected that world became flat and not remain spherical in terms of economical and business activity.
This book also has say over the aspect like competition. Competition has lot more dimensions beside pay in global world. It’s about talent, efficiency, accuracy and reliability. Today's business world demands all four of these. With globalization, competition took a next level. Citizen of nations are competing without borders and hence form of competition become on all different level. This book talks about what global competition means to individual across the globe.
